Scoreboard and scoring

Every team defends the same network and is scored the same way. During an event this page shows live standings. Between events it shows the method, so anyone can check how a result was reached.

Not live. The next live scoreboard opens on Saturday, 21 November 2026 for TCDC 1.

What counts

Four measures of a defended network

  1. 01
    Service uptime

The scoring engine checks each required service on a schedule. Every successful check earns points.

    Weight: [to confirm]
  2. 02
    Business injects

Requests from the simulated company, such as new accounts or policy changes. Graded on accuracy and timeliness.

    Weight: [to confirm]
  3. 03
    Incident reports

Written findings for each attack a team detects: what happened, what was affected and what was done.

    Weight: [to confirm]
  4. 04
    Red team hits

Confirmed compromises logged by the red team. Each one subtracts points, and faster recovery limits the loss.

    Weight: [to confirm]

Who keeps score

Scoring is split among roles so no one grades their own work, as in the CCDC format.

White team
Officials who enforce the rules, grade injects and reports, and resolve disputes.
Scoring engine
Automated checks that test every team's services the same way, all day.
Red team
Industry practitioners who log each confirmed compromise with evidence.
